Performing Again!

The surgery for my finger was successful and I’m playing the piano again! It’s not fully healed yet and it still needs several more months to return to my level, but I’m already able to play some not-too-virtuosic pieces.

I feel so glad to be invited to participate in a student concert on New Year’s Eve 2019. I’ll perform two B-minor works: Brahms’s Rhapsody in B Minor, Op. 79 No. 1 and Franck’s Prelude, Fugue et Variation, Op. 18 (transcribed by Harold Bauer).

Here's a short excerpt recorded live at the organ concert on Saturday. It's me playing Franck's Prélude, Fugue et Variation - enjoy this little bridge passage which introduces the solemn fugue followed by! (sorry I'm not allowed to share any entire movements)
